Description:

Scottrade, Inc. has a Computer Operations Supervisor 3rd Shift position available in St. Louis, MO. The main purpose of this position is to provide leadership and direction of day-to-day activities for Data Center Operations staff. Extensive technical background needed to help focus on departmental and enterprise level projects. Actively involved in change management for new applications, processes and hardware. Plan, organize, direct and control Data Center resources. Participate in all levels of staffing within the Data Center. Assist in the overall physical and technical security to protect the integrity of the Data Center and its information.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of Data Center production, control, operation and staffing.
  • Participate in change and production control meetings.
  • Delegate tasks and projects to Operations staff members on a daily basis.
  • Assist Operations associates establish project and task priorities.
  • Write quarterly and annual performance reviews and hold review meetings with associates.
  • Responsible for offsite storage, tape management and facilities.
  • Work with current/new 3rd party vendors and services to architect/implement new features and functions.
  • Work with other team members to ensure project and organizational deadlines are being met.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for current Computer Operations processes and procedures.
  • Implement and adhere to departmental security policies and procedures.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a large-scale, multi-platform, primary and backup Data Center environment, including Microsoft Windows and AS/400 technologies.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field preferred.
