Job Description

DSA is seeking a highly qualified Test Automation Lead with an active Public Trust security clearance to join our team and support the US Department of Justice.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and other federal agencies are committed to ensuring that victims of federal crime are treated fairly as their case moves through the criminal justice system. In order to provide victims with information on case events, as required by the Victims' Rights and Restitution Act and the Crime Victims' Rights Act, DOJ has developed the Victim Notification System (VNS)

This mission is to protect victims of US based crimes and their families, opportunity to introduce innovation to existing projects.

Job Description:

  • Define the test automation strategy and framework to be implemented and continually enhance and modify based on industry best practices.
  • Execute automation strategy, define, and manage automation metrics, and drive process improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership, direction, strategy, and hands-on assistance to other members of the team.
  • Mentor other QA professionals in test automation best practices and adherence to overall testing strategy.
  • Promote the advancement and maturity of automation practices through training, collaboration, and creation of standards.
  • Design and implement advanced testing practices and tools.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement enterprise-wide standards and process guidelines that support automated process improvement across the SDLC.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure that the IT organization understands their roles and responsibilities for test automation.
  • Responsible for administration of test tools and integrations required to support the test automation strategic road map and will implement enterprise-wide standards and process guidelines to ensure effective use of the tools.
  • Ensure test scripts are documented, reported, and tracked inappropriate tool.
  • Assist in defining measurable testing metrics and build out automated reporting and dashboards.
  • Provide automation test reports and statistics and ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging test design/strategies/practices and find opportunities to automate for increased security and ease of operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong competency in test automation including unit, integration, regression, and smoke tests.
  • At least 5 years of enterprise experience in test automation with a minimum of 2 years as a Lead Engineer/SME who can provide guidance and mentor team members.
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on experience in automation test tools (Selenium, Playwright) and API Testing.
  • Experience moving from manual testing to automation environment.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools.
  • Experience with Quality tools (JIRA).
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS Cloud environments for software development and deployment.
  • Eligible to be granted a public trust with the US Government.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
