As a Director, QA Operations supporting the Quality Team, you will be trusted to ensure services, processes, and facilities comply with the organization's Quality Assurance (QA) standards, international standards, and government regulations at Sinking Spring, PA.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Lead and direct all Quality Assurance related activities at the manufacturing plant.
  • Direct and monitor business activities to ensure alignment with a business plan.
  • Develop and Implement procedures and methods to ensure that the Quality unit and the Manufacturing unit follow GMPs, Corporate Standards, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment in deciding for marketed product release based upon knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company strategy.
  • Assist, implement, and develop solutions to improve quality demonstrate ongoing control, and increase cost efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate approved testing procedures for raw materials, bulk products, finished products, packaging components, and critical systems are in place and followed.
  • Coordinate online Quality Assurance inspection activities of raw materials, applicable production lines, data trending, and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Lead the CAPA Investigation Process to include ensuring accurate staffing, risk document maintenance, and process improvements are aligned with corporate policy.
  • Support the customer complaint handling and reporting activities.
  • Support inventory requirements by ensuring that staff members carry out standard lead times for the completion of all lot disposition activities.
  • Strategy and Direction Setting: Develop strategies and provide direction for the growth of the organization. Functions as Deputy Management Representative and Release Authority.
  • Provide a safe working environment for associates, contractors, and visitors.
  • Build a positive work environment that enables all associates to perform at their best.
  • Ensure the organization has appropriate succession and associate development plans.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
