The Role

As the Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor, you will develop and maintain close relationships with branch management, EH&S committees and employees, to show Foley's commitment to Environment, Health & Safety. You will also maintain compliance to environmental, occupational safety and DOT requirements.

$72000 / year

What You Will Do in This Role:

    Responsible for providing professional expertise and guidance to management and employees in all areas of Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Assist management and their EHS committees by diagnosing potential challenges and providing effective solutions.
  • Participate in all incident investigations and root cause analysis for workplace incidents/injuries.
  • Assist branches in implementing the Corporate EH&S management system effectively and consistently.
  • Assist branch management with monthly EH&S inspections.
  • Identify deficiencies at branch level to assist in the development of corporate EH&S initiatives.
  • Provide accurate interpretations of applicable EHS legislation to Management.
  • Coordinate emergency response operations including medical, chemical, fire and evacuation/rescue, designating responders and arranging for any necessary training.
  • Keep abreast on OSHA, safety and environmental laws, so as to keep the company in compliance with regulatory agencies and other applicable laws.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS or 3+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent knowledge of all environmental and safety-related federal, state, and local regulations and laws including but not limited to OSHA, MSHA and EPA regulations.

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Minimum of two years in safety, DOT and/or environmental compliance.
  • Ability to write and prepare EHS related materials, reports, correspondence, etc.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
