Principal Associate, Learning and Development Lead - S&G Programs

We are looking for a L&D lead to own the strategy, design, and implementation of our end-to-end learning experiences for our full time associate and internship programs. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading projects and processes in a well-managed way. We are looking for team players who are solutions-oriented; are comfortable working in ambiguity; and have stellar communication, data analysis and facilitation skills.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Build and own relationships with senior business leaders, stakeholders, and external vendors to identify learning & development gaps and align to business goals

  • Partner with key stakeholders and program managers to set the strategy and design of our end-to-end learning strategies & experiences (Onboarding, Experience Weeks, etc.)

  • Consult and problem solve across our team and the broader Capital One U organization

  • Facilitate training sessions, interactive activities, and manage large scale events. This may involve flexible working hours and travel, depending on the needs of the program or event.

  • Explore Commercial Banking industry trends and share best practices to continuously improve offerings

  • Evaluate program health + associate learning gaps through feedback, assessments, and metrics analysis

  • Provide coaching and support to managers and associates to promote continuous learning and professional development

  • Collaborate with program leads, key stakeholders, and HRBPs to integrate L&D initiatives into talent and performance management processes

  • Work closely with a passionate and fun team, and be willing to pitch in and help wherever needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 4 years of project management or at least 4 years of recruiting or at least 4 years of consulting experience or a combination

  • At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design or Learning and Development

  • At least 2 years of experience in Google Suite products (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of project management, client facing, or consulting experience, or a combination

  • At least 5 years of experience in Instructional Design or Learning and Development

  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

  • Experience analyzing metrics, trends, and survey data, and using them to make strategic changes

  • Experience within banking or talent development/management
