Overview

ENERCON's Advanced Nuclear Division is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the ENERCON team at various office / site locations across the U.S. This role would support unique and exciting work in the advanced / new nuclear market including advanced and small modular reactor (SMR) technology development, plant siting, and licensing.

Responsibilities
    Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met
  • Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical, engineering proposals
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget
  • Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met
  • Formulate/develop detailed project reports
  • Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance
  • Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects
  • Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and company's satisfaction
  • Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up
Qualifications
  • Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in a nuclear energy facility
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the nuclear industry as an Engineer or Project Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related field) -OR- PMP Certification and 8 years' applicable experience
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites
  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
  • Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a time
