Junior Project Scheduler Overland Park, Kansas
Garveris looking to add a Junior Project Schedulerto our growing company with our Enterprise Solutions Scheduling Services Team. Overall, this position will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining critical path schedules for multiple projects.
This role will perform project scheduling, change documentation, and cost control while reporting to the Enterprise Solutions Scheduling Services Team Lead. This individual will also work with various Task Leads within the Enterprise Solutions Scheduling Services Team.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Knowledge of Project Controls Methodologies
  • Review Baseline and Monthly Update Schedules
  • Perform Schedule Reviews for Large and/or Multiple Projects
  • Report Scheduling Metrics/Risk Issues
  • Contact/follow-up with Project Teams
  • Monitor Compliance/Reports Non-Compliance
  • Review of the Project Controls Status (i.e., cost contract, WBS, schedule, resources, etc.)
  • Develop Contract Time Schedules for Various Design Teams
  • Assist in Developing Scheduling Materials for Proposals
  • Develop and Maintain Design Schedules
  • Minimal Travel to Project Locations
The successful candidate will be able to demonstratetheir work experience through technical knowledge, proficient use, understanding, and application of critical path scheduling and associated software.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 3 years of experience with project scheduling
  • Proficient use of Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Projects scheduling software
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours
Preferred Skills
  • Associates degree in Construction Technology or Construction Management
  • Experience in the construction and contracting industry standards
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing
  • DOT experience preferred but not required
