Job Description
Position Overview
This position works with direction from the Camp Director to create and teach curriculum for the Midwestern Music Camps. This position will require expertise in a specific area of music, including but not limited to: performance, conducting, music education, music theory, music history, specific music styles, or other knowledge and skills as required.

Positions will provide temporary assistance in a variety of areas to include student instruction. Work may include, but is not limited to project or program assistance, and small ensemble direction.
Job Description
50% - Instruct masterclasses
45% - Coach Sectional/Chamber Ensemble
5% - Other (individual coaching, large ensemble rehearsal assistance)
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Music OR comparable music teaching experience, as evidenced in application materials
  2. One year experience teaching music to students either in a classroom setting OR in private music lessons
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree OR post-graduate study
  2. One year experience as a graduate teaching assistant in the KU School of Music or experience working with KU School of Music faculty
