Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Setup and configuration of complex network environments

  • Establish and maintain networking environment by implementing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards

  • Maximize network performance through proactive monitoring; troubleshooting network problems and outages; plan, document, and schedule upgrades and changes to network infrastructure; collaborates with network architects on network optimization, design, and implementation

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (Security, IP Routing, VPN, etc.)

  • Maintain multi-site network operations and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities

  • Understand network security protocols and make security-focused improvements efficiently and effectively

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Experience in designing, managing and/or assessing complex IT infrastructure

  • Knowledge of infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancing and networks

  • Must be willing to relocate or reside in the Greater KC Metro are

Preferred

  • Experience in Data Center network design and support

  • Current network certifications such as CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Core Infrastructure, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) -Routing and Switching or Cisco Certified Network Professional Level (CCNP) -Routing and Switching
