As a Mechanical Designer II in our Overland Park, KS office, you will help us empower our clients to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing power industry through design and improvement of mechanical systems for all types of facilities and generation technologies including reciprocating engines, simple and combined cycle combustion turbines, combined heat & power (CHP), solar, wind and energy storage systems.

In this role, you will use your experience to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Designer II:

Associates Degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or HVAC Design or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in computer aided design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. AutoCAD Plant 3D experience a plus.
• Ability to work with engineering and project management to apply design codes and specification requirements.
• Ability to create and read process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Generate sketches, plans, sections and details from model.
