Job Description

The Recruitment Specialist contributes to the efficiency of our agency by ensuring staffing needs are met effectively through sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommendation of the most qualified candidates.  Provides analytical reporting to support improvement of recruiting efforts. Increases retention by providing supportive, informative guidance to employees through assessments, 1:1 career coaching, mentoring and referrals to support services to enable them to gain the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement.

 

Essential Functions

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and fill employment gaps
  • Advise hiring managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  • Focus recruiting/sourcing efforts on priority positions
  • Develop strong partnerships and relationships with internal partners
  • Enter recruitment and hiring data
  • Source and screens to identify potential candidates
  • Conduct in-person and phone interviews with candidates
  • Serve in expert role as System Administrator for applicant tracking system
  • Ensure timely correspondence with applicants
  • Track goals and metrics for the recruiting and hiring process
  • Handle administrative duties and recordkeeping
  • Support Recruiting Manager in managing the recruitment budget
  • Provide coaching support to associates in the creation of their development plans
  • Participate in continuing education as it relates to  job knowledge and competencies by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and networking events
  • Maintain knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, EEO, Affirmative Action, OFCCP, ADA and other related guidelines and laws

Qualifications

The Recruitment Specialist will be an outgoing leader with the following:

  • College degree preferred in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 1-3 years high volume recruiting, servicing multiple job requisitions or postings at one time, and related work experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Applicant tracking system experienced preferred
  • Strong calendar management and scheduling experience
  • Project and event coordination
  • Experience in providing feedback and coaching others
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Knowledge of hiring laws
  • High standards of confidentiality due to access of very sensitive information
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative with a passion for diversity
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, clean MVR, valid license and insurance
