Wagner Logistics, a Top 50 Third Party Logistics company and one of Inc. magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the U.S., is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Facility and Equipment Maintenance teams. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for administering and improving equipment and facility maintenance programs focused on TPM techniques in a logistics and warehousing environment. Key aspects of the position will also include developing, teaching, and coaching maintenance personnel in progressive maintenance practices as well as striving to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
Additional opportunities in the role will include supporting the organization with contractor and vendor management, new equipment analysis, standardization, continuous improvement and thought leadership. The Wagner maintenance department is responsible for providing both local and remote maintenance support for warehouses across the U.S.
The ideal candidate will have logistics or warehousing operations experience, knowledge of lean-six sigma and/or continuous improvement concepts, and total productive maintenance techniques. Some experience in process analysis will also be useful. However, none of these are requirements.
This position will office at our company headquarters located in North Kansas City, Missouri. Up to 10% travel outside the KC Metro area may be needed to support other facilities. The normal shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with other hours as required by specific projects. The Maintenance Manager will report to the Director, Business Solutions & Engineering based at headquarters in North Kansas City, MO. Direct reports include three maintenance supervisors and seven maintenance technicians.
